The first week of Uni has finished, and I have to comment that all the units especially MM design 175 has really intrigued me. Since I've only just came out of high school, I wasn't really expecting a free doodling session in the first week of Uni. But I do think it’s quite cool we get to learn about things regarding life and how we should not just be hasty and do things without experiencing the journey.

So anyway like I mentioned, we did a free doodling session and this was the first picture I drew.

Yes, this exercise was to just loosen us up and let us play around with textures and patterns. We were basically free to do anything we wanted in this exercise.

This is my second one and is a slightly more conrtolled exercise.

Basically, we had to randomly place dots all over the page. Once we were happy with amount and the position of the dots, we can join them up as we please. After that, I suppose we can shade and do anything we want.

Well moving along, the next doodle is what I like to call the scribble exercise.

Well, this is a very demented clock and a bird that I drew as a scribble. I do like the bird's body as the strokes gives it a great impression of movement and flight.

Now then, the last exercise was the expressive lines. Here are two of them.

Basically, we draw the expression with lines (now coming to think of it, I think we were only meant to use one line which I haven't done; my bad). I feel it’s a relatively simple and straight forward exercise, but it does open up our creative side of our minds. Hehe, hopefully by the end of the semester, our right brain will be completely pried open and our true creative powers be unleashed (and the world shall be ours for the taking muhahahaha!).
